Motivational Mondays are events meant to motivate and energize the student body from great men. Speakers will present on their leadership qualities as well as educational pathways.
Markeen Baker is a product of the Saginaw Public School District and a 2006 Arthur Hill High School graduate. Directly after graduation Markeen attended Connecticut Culinary Institute to pursue a career in culinary arts and obtained a Certificate of Completion. In 2008, Markeen switched career paths and joined the Army Reserves where he served until 2015, when he was honorably discharged.
He attended Delta College where he began as a participant in Delta's Bridge Program. He went on to obtain his Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and then transferred to Saginaw Valley State University where he graduated in 2017 with his Bachelors of Art in Social Work.
Markeen is the producer and director of the #StayKeenNetwork where he hosts the online talk show: The What Don’t Kill You Show. The show is centered on providing viewers a "light at the end of the tunnel" with guests who share their personal experiences with struggle. Conversations revolve around the struggles of each guest and how they've dealt or are dealing with their struggle.
This event will take place in room N007 and is hosted by Men of Delta.
